What's included in the training
 

CPD Certified Allergen Awareness Training

We provide video-based online training which will help to safeguard your customers and reduce the risk of a serious incident.

​

It is ideal for anyone working in a catering environment, including, but not limited to:

​

  • Restaurants

  • Cafes

  • Takeaways

  • Caterers working within institutions such as schools, entertainment venues, hospitals and museums

  • Private party caterers

 

The training comprises seven easy-to-watch video modules and an exam and takes only a total of one hour to complete.

​

Trainees can take the course at their own convenience. All candidates who pass the exam will be sent a certificate by email.

  • Understand the FIR law and what is required when providing allergen information for your customers

  • The legally recognised allergens

  • ‘Hidden’ allergens within the ingredients used in the menu

  • The importance of robust allergen management procedures being implemented throughout the business.

  • Best practice for providing allergen information, including when taking orders over the phone and online

  • The difference between allergy, intolerance, and other dietary needs and the allergen information required

  • What to do IF an Anaphylaxis happens

  • Understand the potential criminal consequences of not providing the correct allergen information

  • 'May contain', how and when to use

       All delegates receive a CPD Certificate.
